NCD HEALTH
We were tasked with creating a series of artworks based around the New College Durham occupational health area where staff members would go for health checkups and also to discuss issues like mental health. It is for this reason that the artworks were requested for prints on the walls to make the entire space more friendly and creating more of a safe space whereby the patients would feel more comfortable.
For this brief the primary demographic was to be universal as New College Durham employs a large variety of people and so the artwork must be visually calming to everyone.
Therefore I aimed my designs to be based around universal symbols of calmness and visual balance. It was then that I started to experiment with geometrics and nature. These are universal symbols of order and disorder something which can appease nearly everyone who make look at it.
This was the visual only presentation to be given to the clients at occupational health for them to choose designs.
